I often think of Margaret. By one route into Birmingham we pass the end of the road here Margaret used to live. I remember going to her house on a Sunday evening and it would not be long before Margaret’s mother appeared with a plate of sandwiches . A little further on is the church and youth club where we spent many happy hours. The youth club had a tennis evening in the summer on the local park called Victoria common. Margaret was very fond of tennis playing there . Returning by another route we go through Bournville and Cadburys where Margaret worked and again played tennis there in the sports club… Recently I have come across an old photograph of a holiday we had with one or two friends. It was taken on the hotel balcony in Torquay I don’t want to be frivolous but bonfire night brings memories of Margaret. Her brother told us about it at the reception after Margaret’s memorial. We had a bonfire in her parents garden A jumping jack went into the box of fireworks and set of a rocket which came in my direction. ! More recently it was lovely to hear her when she phoned me to exchange ‘medical happenings.’. Sheila
