From Toddington Baptist Church 15th November 2009

As many of you will know, after a long period of ill-health, Margaret passed away peacefully at the Pasque on Tuesday 22 September. Margaret had attended, and been a member of, Toddington Baptist Church for the best part of 20 years. She carried out many roles and, when in 2000 David was appointed Secretary, she became his right hand “man” assisting in the many duties which this role covered. Most notably these consisted of ringing round to find Preachers for the Sunday Services, putting together the monthly newsletters, printing and distributing them, collating information for and printing the Church Directory, organising coffee and flower rotas and generally helping with the fantastic job that David did in his Secretarial role. Margaret was also renowned for her lovely arrangement of flowers at times such as Christmas, Easter and special occasions. Margaret had a very genuine care of people and even during the latter part when she herself was unwell she ensured that those who were ill were not forgotten with her many telephone calls of support. Although not able to physically help, Margaret would ensure that if help was needed then she would enlist the support of those that could assist. Margaret, you are, and will be, sadly missed by all those that were privileged to know you. Thank you so much for showing us the way to a true Christian Fellowship.
